Cook Book

I went to a cook book launch for Cook Book north/south. The book was entirely printed by hand on letter press giving it a very unique feel, quite different from the glossed up pages of today's cook books. The books were not bound , in fact they were simply separate pages sandwiched together by wooden plates - like the recipe cards from way back when.

Each section of the book was dedicated to a suburb in Melbourne - all with their own unique flavours, cultural influences and ingredients. Along with each suburb came a story - an anecdote from a resident of that suburb, and the recipes came with a story too. For me I liked the details of the pages, the little motifs under the recipes were super cute :) truly a special book for any Melbourne food lover.

It's been a while...

It's been a while since my last blog post. What have I been up to you ask? Well flying between New Zealand and Australia to shoot various projects and join in on wedding fun with two of my good friends from New Zealand, that's what! They were held at the incredibly scenic   Queenstown and cute and quaint French settlement town of Akaroa
