I've been a busy little bee these past few weeks, but in light of all the business (haha!) I'm pleased to present...my latest shoot with none other than Chanelle Davis! Chanelle is a musician from NZ who, like many of us kiwis, has taken the Melbourne path. She's extremely talented & a super amazing bonus is that she writes her own music. We took our shoot to the Abbotsford Convent (who by the way, were super nice at letting us shoot there) and despite the chilly weather and spots of rain, we had a seriously fun day. This was mainly thanks to Chanelle's pretty pink coat and the teams inability to keep a straight face throughout the afternoon. I was also very lucky to collaborate with film & lomo lover Mel from Milk & Miel , she's added some of her gorgeous shots to her blog.
Street lifestyle magazine, Acclaim, called on me to shoot a gallery opening for their Carbon Festival on Thursday. The punters braved the rain and packed into the cosy south of the border RTIST Gallery to see works by Faith47 and DALeast. See the night in it's entirety & write up here. Thanks Acclaim!
The lovely and talented Mel of Milk & Miel loaned me her sweet little Diana Mini camera to take on a mini street safari. We climbed metro stairs, jumped over puddles, dodged bicycles & marvelled at the summer sky. Here's our photo diary . . .
Striped deck chairs, wooly hats & city skylines at the outdoor cinema. We drank sangria, covered ourselves in blankets, donned our freezing heads in hats (this is Melbourne Summer) & relived our teenage dreams with Leonardo DiCaprio & Clare Danes in Romeo & Juliet. ♥
Step away from the cliche uniform of denim cut offs, crop top, fake daisy chains from Sportsgirl these festival-goers dressed to the beat of their own drum this summer at Falls Festival in Lorne.

I was asked to be part of Sun Smart's Love Your Body Blog Carnival . So to celebrate Summer coming around the corner & my love for a good floppy hat and crazily shaped sunnies I made this wee stop motion movie. Hope it gets you in the mood to love your summer and your skin!
I've always been fair, as a teenager I longed for a golden tan but the kiwi sun always got the better of me. By the time I was in my early 20's I'd finally learnt my lesson. I'm never going to get a natural tan! I'd gone through enough after sun lotion, painful showers, sleeping sessions lying on my back & embarrassing tomato face moments I'd had enough! Now I embrace my lily white outer layer & if being sun smart means I can wear a gigantic 60's inspired floppy sunhat and some sweet cat eye sunnies like the ones in the video then I'm all for that! Special thanks goes to Lauren for being a super smart smiley model!
