Media Pass ! ! !

A pretty medium sized purple envelope arrived in our mail box a couple of days ago. Long behold it's my shiny media pass for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week! Oo la la darlings! The Designer Series shows kick off tomorrow night 6:30pm and 8:30pm - fingers crossed for backstage access so I can use my awesome new light diffuser * . 

*Uh oh, I'm turning into one of those photographic nerds who gets her jollies over camera attachments.

White Noise

Spring is peeking around the corner(ok ok it's still officially over a month away but the sun was shining today and I could actually walk outside without freezing my lens cap off). 

After all that grey & black doom and gloom of Winter I'm ready for something light, aren't you?


Flannel's Spring/Summer 2010/11 collection brings us creamy colours, fringe details and neutral tones. Manes were left natural and faces were fresh, we're ready for a fuss free Spring!

I've been Cultured!

Oh yes yes yes! I'm in Culture magazine! I've been meaning to blog about this for ages but couldn't get my eager little hands on a copy until the Hair Expo. It's my first ever publication in a real live magazine. It's shiney, it's bound and it's full of glorious fashion and hair snaps.  Hip hip horray! 

And the cover looks like this so go on boys and girls buy it!

I have a secret love towards blonde country diva Dolly Parton (9-5 is one of my favourite karaoke songs) Yes, that's right, Dolly Parton. Sara Phillips must love Dolly as well - she chose "Jolene" for her Australian Fashion Week finale song. Yee haa!

I love this look

I've always been in love with 1960s looks - bouffants, darker than dark eye liner and platform shoes really do make my heart flutter. So when Miss Unkon rocked up to Rosemount Australian Fashion Week with bouffants, darker than dark eyeliner and platform shoes, understandably I was in retro heaven.

This was one of my favourite shows, and such an honour to see the clothes backstage. I guess it was one of my "magical moments" of fashion week. It felt like I had stepped into a beautiful, dark time warp and landed in the middle of a gothic gorgeous party complete with stylists, hair and make-up artists and a plethora of photographer's aiming for their best shot ( me included).
